Diversity Club!

Between January and March this year, the very exciting ‘Diversity’ after school club was taking place. On a Tuesday afternoon, P.5 – P.7 pupils had the opportunity to participate in this and learn about the diverse cultures that are part of the Dundonald Primary and Nursery School community.

Each week a different culture was represented and pupils learnt lots of new and interesting information and facts as well as taking part in fun activities regarding the culture. They were given the chance to try on traditional dress and sample really delicious food from other countries. They also got to participate in the fantastic African Drumming and Bollywood Dancing workshops.

A big thank you needs to go to the parents from the Japanese, Nigerian, Filipino and Polish community who made a huge effort and gave up their own time to host the ‘Diversity’ club.

'Diversity' club was a hugely popular initiative, thoroughly enjoyed by all those involved.
