Educational Trips

As a school we recognise many advantages in both day and residential visits.  Well-planned and properly conducted trips can have a lasting and positive effect on a child's development.  Each Year Group organises educational visits related to curriculum projects.  These provide a very important extension to classroom work and are made locally to places such as:

  • W5
  • UIster Museum
  • Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra
  • Ulster Americian Folk Park
  • Streamvale Farm, Dundonald
  • Exploris, Portaferry
  • Castle Espie
  • Castle Ward
  • Belfast Zoo
  • Church Green, churches and graveyard and motte as part of our History Trail

In P7, the pupils also use either Killyleagh or Ardnabannon Outdoor Pursuits Centre for residential visits.
